For children of age 2-11 years, it is 30 mg twice daily. For children >12 years and adults Allegra 60 mg twice daily or Allegra 180 mg once daily can be used. When Allegra is taken along with fruit juices, here will be a decrease in the absorption of Allegra. Hence this should be avoided. However Allegra can be taken along with food.
Allegra is available as Allegra 30 mg tablet, Allegra 60 mg tablet, Allegra 120 mg tablet and Allegra 180 mg tablet. For pediatric use it is available as Allegra suspension 6mg/ml (30 ml and 300 ml).
Allegra OTC should be stored in a cool dry place away from sunlight and children.
